Udi Gershuni is a New York City-based composer, orchestrator, music director, pianist, and conductor from Tel-Aviv, Israel. In addition to composing concert music and music for multimedia, he works in the musical theatre community, focusing on composition of original music. These days Udi is releasing his debut album featuring soprano Mikaela Bennett, and working on a song commission for the Grammy nominated project 40@40 by soprano Laura Strickling. Some of his works include music directing Tehora at Carnegie Hall, orchestrating for Broadway Backwards, music directing ‘It’s like, Hello’ as part of “24 hours musicals” at the Signature Theatre and “Look What a Wonder” at Martha’s Vineyard Music Hall as well.
In recent years Udi has focused on the mounting of his original works which include ‘5 Preludes For Piano’ (MTNA Award winner of the state of Massachusetts, Merit Award winner of the ‘Tribeca’ national competition, and recipient of an honorary mention at the international IBLA competition), as well as a song-cycle of original music set to Edna St Vincent Millay’s poems.

Udi is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the BMI program in NYC, he was a 2nd place winner of the prestigious American Prize national competition, he received the George Bailey Grant from the Dramatists Guild Foundation, the Excellence "Keren Sharet" scholarship from the "American-Israel culture fund" for a jazz pianist, and was awarded the Robert Share Award from the Berklee Film Scoring Department, from which he graduated with honors in May '19.

In Israel, Udi has music directed and played in top TV and theatre productions such as Oy Elias Elias, the Bat-Yam Musicals’ Festival, X-Factor - Israel, The Voice, The Next Star To Eurovision, Beit-Tzvi and many more.
